Biography
After his naval service he flew helicopters with James Bay Power Construction at La Grande River PQ. After wards he flew in the Arctic with various companies.

He was appointed as a AC 2/c (Pilot Candidate) RCAF (With seniority dated 12/02/1943). He served in RCAF Edmonton for Manning Depot 1943. He served in RCAF Belleville for ITS. He was appointed as a LAC (Pilot Candidate) RCAF (With seniority dated 01/04/1944). He served in RCAF Pendleton for #10 Elementary Flying Training school 1944. He served in RCAF Borden for #1 Service Flying Training School. (CFR). He was appointed as a Pilot Officer RCAF (With seniority dated 01/10/1944). (Transferred to RNVR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR. He served in RNAS Hinstock, RAF Tern Hill. He served in RNAS Lee-on-Solent for H.M.S. Daedalus for 799 Squadron (Sea Otter) 1946.
