Military Service

He was appointed as a RN Observer. He served in H.M.S. Ark Royal for 824 RN Squadron 1971. He served in H.M.S. Endurance for 824 RN Squadron (South Atlantic Campaign) 1973. He served in #360 RAF Squadron 1977. He served in H.M.S. Hermes as Assistant Operations Officer 1979. He served in H.M.S. Galsgow for 829 RN Squadron 1979. He served in H.M.S. Avenger as Squadron Aviation Officer 1982. He served in RNAS Portland for 702 RN Squadron 1985. He served in H.M.S. Ark Royal 1985. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (O) RN. He served in RNAS Portland for 829 Squadron as Commanding Officer 1987-90. (He was released.)
