Biography
Before the First World War he worked as a reporter for the Calgary Herald. After his naval service he joined the Public Relations Department of CPR in Montréal, later moving to Winnipeg. Then joined CP Air in Vancouver. He joined PR Department of Imperial Oil in Winnipeg in 1954 and moved to Edmonton in 1969. Retired 1975.

He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/09/1939). He served in the Calgary Division RCNVR 1939. He served in H.M.S. King Alfred for Training 1940. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/09/1939). He served in #14 Elementary Flying Training School Elmdon 1940. He served in RCAF Kingston for ITS 1941. He served in H.M.S. Jackdaw for Training 1941. He served in H.M.S. Condor for Deck Landing Training and Night Flying 1941. He served in RNAS Arbroath for 767 (Swordfish) Squadron 1941. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 20/11/1940). He served in H.M.S. Kestrel for Air Gunnery Training School 1941. He served in RNAS Wingfield Capetown (South Africa) for 788 (Swordfish) Squadron 1942. He served in RNAS East Africa for 788 (Swordfish) Squadron 1942. He served in RNAS Yarmouth NS for #31 Training Air Group in 744 (Swordfish) Squadron 1943. He served in HMCS Niobe on Staff of Senior Canadian Naval Officer (London) as Staff Officer (Air) 1943. (He was demobilized 1945.)
