Biography
After his naval service he joined Transport Canada - Canadian Coast Guard as Helicopter Pilot 1980. Retired 30/03/1994.

(Short Service Appointment). He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 12/09/1954). He served in HMCS Venture (Officer Training Establishment) for Training 1954. He was appointed as a Midshipman (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1956). He served in NHQ for Pilot Training at RCAF Station Centralia 1956. He served in NHQ for Pilot Training at RCAF Station Penhold 1956. He served in RCAF Portage La Prairie for Flying Training 1958. He was Awarded Wings. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/03/1957). He served in HMCS Shearwater for HU-21 Squadron 1957. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/03/1958). He served in HMCS Shearwater HMCS Bonaventure as Pilot in HS-50 Squadron 1958, (Selected for permanent commission 1958). He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/12/1960). He served in H.M.S. Sea Hawk for 815 RN Squadron 1961. He served in H.M.S. Ark Royal 1963. He served in H.M.S. Osprey in 737 RN Squadron 1963. He served in HMCS New Waterford as Watchkeeper 1963. He served in HMCS Provider as Watchkeeper and Air Officer and Communications Officer 1964. He served in HMCS Shearwater for HU-21 Squadron 1966. He served in CFB Shearwater for Sea King Flight Simulator 1967. He served in CFB Shearwater for HS-50 Squadron 1970. He served in HMCS Assiniboine for HS-50 Air Detrachment as Officer-in-Charge. He served in CFB Shearwater for VU-32 Squadron 1973. He served in CFB Shearwater as Base maintenance Test Pilot 1976. He served in CFB Halifax for Sea Training. (He retired 15/07/1980.)
