He was appointed as a Lieutenant RN. (He had Second World War service.) (Transferred to the RCN(R)). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (SB) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 12/12/1949). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (SB) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 08/05/1951). He served in HMCS Chippewa as Commanding Officer UNTD 1949. (He was released in 1954.) (He was qualified for service in TAS duties.)
