He came from Montreal QC. He attended McGill University 1940-1942.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Officer Cadet (COTC McGill University) (Transferred to RCNVR 22/05/1942) He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR. In 1942 he served in HMCS Kings (Officer Training Establishment). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 10/08/1942). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 10/08/1942). He served in #14 Service Flying Training School. He served in H.M.S. Goshawk for 750 RN Squadron 1944. He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 15/01/1944). He was appointed as an Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 10/08/1943). He served in #13 Elementary Flying Training School.
