Biography
After his naval service he attended Queen's University for a mining degree and joined Dome Exploration.

 

Military Service

He was appointed as a Naval Airman 2/c RNVR (With seniority dated 01/05/1943). He served in H.M.S. Seaborn 1943. He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent for #56 Pilot Training Course 1943. He was appointed as an A/Leading Airman RNVR (With seniority dated 30/10/1943). He served in RCAF St. Eugene for #13 Elementary Flying Training School 1943. He served in RCAF Kingston for #31 Service Flying Training School 1944. He was Awarded Wings 16/06/1944. He was appointed as a A/Petty Officer Pilot RNVR (With seniority dated 16/06/1944). (CFR 01/08/1944). He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR (Appointed 01/08/1944) (With seniority dated 16/06/1944). He served in H.M.S. Macaw 25/07/1944. He served in RNAS Hinstock for Instrument Flying School 1944. He served in RAF Errol for #9 (P) Advanced Flying Unit 1944. He served in RNAS Henstridge for 761 RN Squadron for Seafire Conversion 1944. He served in RNAS St. Merryn for 719 RN Squadron for Deck Landing Training 1945. He served in H.M.S. Ravager for Deck Landing Qualification 1945. He served in H.M.S. Trouncer for deck Landing Qualification 1945. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR (With seniority dated 16/06/1944). He served in RNAS Grimsetter for 801 RN Squadron 1945. He served in H.M.S. Implacable for 801 RN Squadron 1945. He served in RNAS Jervis Bay for Training 1945. He served in RNAS Schofields (Australia) for 801 RN Squadron 1945. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RNVR (With seniority dated 01/12/1945). (He was demobilized 01/01/1946.)
