Military Service

He was appointed as an Officer Cadet (ROTP) RCN (With seniority dated 07/12/1953). In 1953 he served in HMCS York for ROTP (U of T). He was appointed as a Midshipman RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1956). He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1957). He served in HMCS Niobe for RN General Education and Warfare Course and Technical Courses 1957. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1957). In 1959 he served in HMCS Micmac as Watchkeeper. In 1959 he served in RCAF Penhold for Flying Training. (He was qualified as a pilot) He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 00/00/1959). He served in HMCS Victoriaville. In 1961 he served in HU-21. (He was released c1963.)
