Military Service
He was appointed as an Officer Cadet RCAF (With seniority dated 01/01/1965). He served in CFB Centralia for Flying Training 1965, CFB Gimli for Flying Training, CFB Portage for Flying Training, Awarded Air Force Wings, Flying Officer RCAF 1966, CFB Winnipeg for Air Navigation School. He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Bonaventure for VS-880 Squadron 1968, CFB Summerside for VP-415 Squadron 1971, Resigned 01/01/1974. Afterwards he joined Air Canada. He joined the Air Reserve (AR) in 1984 in 402 Squadron. He was appointed as a MAJ (AR) 01/04/1987. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Colonel (AR) 01/08/1992, 402 Squadron as Commanding Officer 1992. He was appointed as a Colonel (AR) 1996, Deputy Chief of Staff Reserves and Cadets 1996.

Aircraft Flown Total Flying Hours: 6100 military. 12000 civilian. (He suffered a cold cat shot from the Bonaventure and his aircraft entered the water just ahead of the ship. It was struck and traveled under the ship. The crew were rescued by helicopter astern.)
