He graduated from Dalhousie University in 1954 with the degrees of M.D., C.M. He then took postgraduate training in pathology in Halifax and Montreal. In 1959 Dr. MacKenzie was certificated in pathologic anatomy and in 1960 he was certificated in clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology. He was appointed Instructor in Pathology at Dalhousie in 1959, Lecturer in 1962 and Associate Professor in 1963. He was the Director of Clinical Chemistry at the Pathology Institute of Halifax NS. He was on the active staff of the Victoria General and Children's Hospitals. |
