Biography
His home was in Whitehouse, Yukon and he was a student at UBC) at the time of his recruitment. After his wartime service he was a stock clerk, 1923-1930; he settled in Okanagan, operating orchards near Kelowna BC.
 
Military Service
He was sent direct to UK from Halifax NS 24/01/1917. He was appointed as a Second Lieutenant (Temp.) RFC (With seniority dated 24/05/1917. He served in #24 TS 25/05/1917. He served in #10 TS 28/08/1917. He served in the Group Pool 05/09/1917. He served in #84 CTS. He served with #65 Squadron 01/04/1918 - 28/09/1918 (He was decalred missing and was a POW). He was repatriated 13/12/1918. He joined the RCAF 31/05/1940. He attended an Administraion Course, Trenton ON. He went overseas /081941. He was appointed as a Flight Lieutenant RCAF (With seniority dated 01/08/1941). He served in #406 Squadron as Intelligence Officer 22/10/1941. He served in RCAF Station Digby 30/12/1942. He served in Headquarters #83 Group 30/08/1943. He was appointed as a Squadron Leader RCAF (With seniority dated 23/10/1943). He was appointed as a Wing Commander (RCAF) (With seniority dated 01/05/1944). He was repatriated 21/10/1945. (He was released 07/12/1945.) He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross "During the recent operations this officer has rendered brilliant service and set a most inspiring example. In one attack his petrol tank was shot through and his machine was badly damaged; he nevertheless continued his offensive against troops on a main road, inflicting many casualties."
