Biography
Following his discharge from active service he attended Mount Allison University in N.B. while serving as a UNTD officer cadet with the RCNR. Following his graduation he received his commission in the RCN. After resigning in 1976 from the forces he completed his B.Comm. at St. Mary's University and was employed in real estate, taught business at the vocational school and then joined the Federal Government as an economist and then as a material control officer at CFAD Bedford where he ended his career of over 42 years as acting Superintendent at the magazine hill depot.
 
Military Service
He served in the Canadian Army from 1944-1945 as a Gunner. (He was demobilized.) He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman (Officer Candidate) RCN(R) 1946. (CFR) (Transferred to RCN) He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (S) RCN. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (S) RCN (With seniority dated 15/05/1951). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (S) RCN (With seniority dated 01/12/1952). In 1952 he served in HMCS Quebec. In 1957 he served in HMCS Scotian. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN (With seniority dated 01/12/1960). In 1965 he was attached to the Canadian Defence Liason Staff in Washington for Exchange Appointment with the USN. He was appointed as a Commander (CF). (He was released 1976.) (He was qualified for supply duties).
