Military Service

He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1951. In 1951 he served in HMCS Malahat for UNTD. (He was released.) (Transferred to RCN). He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (E) RCN 1952. In 1952 he served in Royal Roads (Candian Service College). He was appointed as a Midshipman (E) RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1954). He was appointed as a A/Sub-Lieutenant (E) RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1957). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (E) RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1957). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (E) RCN (With seniority dated 01/12/1958). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (MARE) (With seniority dated 01/06/1966). He was appointed as a Commander (MARE) (With seniority dated 01/07/1972). (He was released 1981.)
