Military Service

He was appointed as Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 1959). He served in HMCS Chippawa for UNTD 1958-1959. (He was released.) He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/07/1962). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/07/1963). He served in HMCS Lanark. He served in HMCS Algonquin. In 1965 he served in HMCS New Glasgow. He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1967). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (MARS) (With seniority dated 01/07/1974). (He was retired in 1992.)
