Biography
After his naval service he joined Ford Motor Company of Canada in 1948, retiring in 1982.

 

Military Service

He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/09/1939). He served in H.M.S. King Alfred for Training 1939. He served in H.M.S. Excellent for Ant-Aircraft Gunnery Training 1940. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR, Anti-Aircraft Guard 1940. He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent for Pilot Course #29. He served in #14 Elementary Flying Training School 1941. He served in RAF Kingston for #31 Service Flying Training School 1941. He served in RNAS Crail for Torpedo Bomber Reconnaisance Training 1942. He served in RNAS Arbroath for Deck Landing Training 1942. He served in H.M.S. Hermes for Deck Landing Training 1942. He served in RNAS Yarmouth NS for #1 NAGS Yarmouth NS for 754 RN (Swordfish) Squadron 1942. He served in USNAS Floyd Bennett Field for Sikorski Helicopter Training 1944. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 12/07/1942) (Later backdated to 1941). He served in USNAS Floyd Bennett Field for Duty as Sikorski Helicopter Instructor 1944. He served in H.M.S. Thane for Sikorski Helicopter Pilot Service 1945. (He was demobilized 1945.) He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN(R) (On the retired list).
