He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (P) RCN(R). He served in HMCS Prevost for VC-920 Reserve Squadron 1954. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) RCN(R), He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/09/1956). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/09/1964). He was appointed as a Commander (NR). He served in HMCS York as Executive Officer 1972. (He was released.)
