Biography
He was a dredge operator at the time of his recruitment into the navy. He was declared as 'essential service' as the Engineer on the Fraser River dredge King Edward VII.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Stoker RNCVR during the First World War. He was appointed as a chief Petty Officer RNCVR. He served in HMCS Rainbow. (He was demobilized 1918).
