After his naval service he taught in a post secondary einstitution.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR. He served in #23 Elementary Flying Training School 1943. He served in #12 Service Flying Training School 1943. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) (P) RCNVR. He served in USN Wildwood. He served in #5 AFU Ternhill. He served in #81 OTU Tilstock. He served in 742 Squadron, #3 Ferry Squadron. He served in #1 Ferry Squadron. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR. (He was demobilized) (Transferred to RCAF Auxilliary). He served in #401 (City of Westmount) RCAF Squadron 1946-51. (Transferred to RCNR). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/06/1952). He served in HMCS Malahat as Pilot in VC-922 Reserve Squadron 1952-1963. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN(R) 1960. He served in HMCS Nonsuch as NCS Officer. He served in HMCS Naden as NRTC Training Commander to 1992. (He was released.)
