After his naval service he worked two years with Pratt & Whitney. He worked for Air Canada for 31 years in engineering and technical positions. |

He was appointed as a AC 2/c (Pilot Candidate) RCAF. He served with the RCAF for Flying Training. He was Awarded Wings, (Transferred to RNVR 1945). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR. RAF Ternhill for #5 AFU 1945. He served in RNAS Hinstock for Instrument Course 1945. He served in RNAS Zeals for Operational Training 1945. He served in RNAS Yeovilton for 755 RN Squadron 1945. He served in RNAS Eglinton for 794 RN Squadron 1945. He served in RNAS St. Merryn for Conversion Course 1946, (Transferred to RCN). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) RCN. He served in HMCS Nootka, Released 1947. (Transferred to RCN(R) 1949). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) RCN(R) 1949. (Transferred to RCAF Auxilliary 1952).
