Biography |

After his military service he returned to the University of Toronto to complete his engineering degree in 1948. He then joined Bell Canada where he spent 36 years contributing to Canada's leadership in telecommunications both at home and abroad. In his final assignment as Chief Engineer for a major Bell Canada International project, he played a vital role in building the telephone company for Saudi Arabia (Bell was part of a 3 Company consortium for a $1-Billion+ contract to install a complete telephone system nation-wide). |
Military Service |

He entered U of T in 1941 and was probably in the COTC at that time. He went on Active Service with the Canadian Army in the 1943 - 45 period, most or all of that time in the Pacific. (He was demobilized.) He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman (Officer Candidate UNTD) RCN(R) 1946. In 1946-1948 he served in HMCS York for UNTD. (CFR) He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (E) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 06/02/1948). In 1948 he served in HMCS Star. (He was released.) |
