Biography
McEntee was educated by Christian Brothers, attended Canon O’Meara Academy and was active in the Boy Scouts. He dropped out of high school in 1941 to join the Royal Canadian Navy. Once the Second World War was over he completed his high school in Boston before entering St. Paul’s seminary in Ottawa in 1949. On May 30, 1954, McEntee became the first priest to be ordained in St. Gabriel’s Church in Point St. Charles. During the 1960s he was priest in charge of St. Philip Neri Mission for English-speaking Catholics in Pointe aux Trembles, then served as an assistant at St. Kevin’s Parish until 1974, when he was named Pastor of St. Edmund of Canterbury in Beaconsfield. He remained there until he retired in 2000.

(He had Second World War service) He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1950. He served in HMCS Carleton for UNTD 1950. He was appointed as a Chaplain (RC) RCN(R). He served in HMCS Donnacona as Chaplain (RC). (He was released.)
