He served as President and CEO of the Yorkshire Trust Company. He served as Chairman and CEO of the British Pacific Properties Ltd. He served as President of the BC Hydro and Power Authority.

He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 02/01/1956). He served in HMCS Discovery for UNTD 1955-1958. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R). (He was released.)
