He was appointed as an Officer Cadet (COTC McGill University). (Transferred to RCNVR) He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman (Officer Candidate UNTD) RCNVR. (CFR) He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 14/07/1944). In 1944 he served in HMCS Cataraqui. In 1944 he served in HMCS Cornwallis. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 14/07/1944). In 1944 he served in HMCS Kings (Officer Training Establishment). In 1944 he served in HMCS Niobe. In 1945 he served in HMCS Moose Jaw. (He was demobilized.)
