Biography
After his naval service he joined the Prairie Region Glider School 1979-80. Commercial helicopter flying 1980-4. Bristol Aerospace 1984-7. Boeing Aerospace 1988-93. (He was retired 1993.)
 
Military Service
(Short Service Appointment 16/10/1952). He was appointed as a Midshipman (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 16/10/1952). He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 06/11/1954). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (O) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 06/11/1954). He served in HMCS Magnificent. He served in HMCS Shearwater For Duty With VS-880 Squadron 1955. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (O) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 21/06/1956). He served in NHQ for Pilot Training at RCAF Station Moose Jaw 1959, (Selected for permanent commission). He served in NDHQ For Duty With Joint Photographic Intelligence Centre Rockcliffe ON 1965. He served in CFB Rivers for Helicopter Pilot Training 1966. He served in CFB Shearwater for Advanced Helicopter Training 1967. He served in CFB Shearwater for HS-50 and HS-443 Squadrons 1968. He served in CFB Winnipeg for Training Command HQ as Staff Officer 1972. He served in HS-443 Squadron 1975. He served in CFB Portage for Staff Duties 1977. (He was retired 1979.) (He was qualified as an air observer.)

Civilian Aircraft Flown: AS-350, Bell 206, Hughes 500D, various gliders) (He lost a leg below the knee. Afterwards he was the first RCN pilot to requalify with an artificial limb.)
