He was the son of Kenneth A. McLeod, a "leading citizen" of Edmonton AB.

 

Military Service
He was appointed as a Boy Seaman (RNCVR). He served in HMCS Galiano 1918. (He was lost in HMCS Galiano in a storm off Vancouver Island BC October 30, 1918).
