Biography
His home was in Toronto at the time of his recruitment. He attended the Toronto Curtiss School in 1915 (no certificate);
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS (With seniority dated 30/12/1915) in Ottawa ON. He was appointed as a Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS. He served in RNAS Eastbourne, 19 January to 15 June 1916. He served n RAF Cranwell for examination. He served in RNAS Eastchurch Gunnery School, 18 June to 3 July 1916. He served in #3 Wing (Manston), 4 July 1916. He served in #3 Wing (Luxeuil), 10 August 1916 to 31 January 1917. He served in #3 (Naval) Squadron, 1 February 1917. He served in #9 (Naval) Squadron, 5 May 1917. He served in #10 (Naval) Squadron, 9 May 1917.

Anecdotes
He destroyed 4 enemy aircraft. (He was killed in action 3 June 1917. was leading a three-plane close patrol of Sopwith Triplanes when they met a force of 12 enemy Albatrosses.) He was awarded a Croix de Guerre (France).
