Biography
After his naval service he flew S-61 for Okanagan Helicopter at St. John's and Edson AB. Later Department of Transport as Instrument Check Pilot at Vancouver Airport. Retired 29/04/1990.

In 1954 he served in HMCS Cornwallis for #7 Junior Aviation Officers Basic Training Course. He served in HMCS Shearwater for #9 NATO Observers Course 1954. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (O) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 25/01/1955). He served in HMCS Shearwater for No.9 Observer Course 1955. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (O) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 25/01/1956). He served in HMCS Shearwater For Duty With VS-880 Squadron 1956. He served in H.M.S. Gannet for Observer ASW Training 1956. He served in HMCS Magnificent for VS-880 Squafron as Observer 1956. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (O) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 25/05/1957). He served in HMCS Venture (Officer Training Establishment) as Term Lieutenant 1965. He served in Destroyer Command Qualification 1966. He was appointed as a MAJ (PLT) (With seniority dated 01/07/1967). He served in RCAF Portage as Resident RCN Instructor with #3 Flying Training School as Chief Flying Instructor and as Chief Ground School Instructor 1967-70. He served in Canadian Forces Staff College (Toronto) 1970. He served in NDHQ 1971-74. He served in CFB Shearwater for HS-443 Squadron 1974. He served in CFB Shearwater for HS-443 Squadron as Executive Officer 1976. He served in HMCS Provider as Air Officer 1977-80. (He was retired 01/09/1980.)
