He joined the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada. He transferred to the RNAS in France. He served in RN College Greenwich for Training 1917. He served in RNAS Fairlop. He served in RNAS Chingford. He served in RNAS Isle of Grain. He served in RNAS Rochford. 61 (RNAS) Squadron.
