Biography

 

Military Service

He was appointed as a Mate RNCVR (With seniority dated 01/04/1917). In 1917 he served in HMCS Rainbow as Additional for Training and Disposal. He served in HMCS Niobe For Miscellaneous and Special Service 1918. (He was demobilized.) (Transferred to the RCNVR). He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCNVR (With seniority dated 14/03/1923). He served in the Montreal (English) Half Company as Commanding Officer RCNVR 1923. (He was the first appointment as the commanding officer of a RCNVR unit.)
