Biography
He was a plumber and pipefitter at the time of his recruitment into the navy.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Wireless Telegraph Operator (4th Class) RNCVR (With seniority dated 01/03/1916). He was appointed as a Wireless Telegraph Operator (3rd Class) RNCVR (With seniority dated 01/06/1917). In 1917-1918 he served in HMCS Rainbow for Wireless Telegraph Duty (West Coast) at Triangle Island Radio Station. (He was demobilized.)
