Biography
After the Second World War he had an apprenticeship with the Park Steamship Co. He abandoned this in favour of attendance at U of T and greaduated in Math and Commerce. After completing his math and commerce degrees at U of T, Mills left Toronto for Western Canada in 1963. He acquired land in Hudson’s Hope, B.C., and cleared it for farming.
 
Military Service
(He had Second World War service.) He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1949. In 1949 he served in HMCS York for UNTD. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 25/04/1951).(He was released.)
