Biography
He was the son of Lieutenant-Commander Patrick Sproull Milsom. After his military service he joined DND as Director Procurement and Supply Services. He served in the Director Procurement and Supply Resource Management. He served in the National Defence College of Canada for Staff Course 46. He served as Director General Corporate Management Services 1993. (He resigned 13/08/1996.)
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RCN (With seniority dated 04/09/1959). He served in HMCS York 1959. He served in HMCS Cornwallis for New Entry Training 1959. He served in HMCS Naden for Training. He served in HMCS Stadacona for Training. (He was released 1962.) He entered the University of Western Ontario 1962. He was appointed as an Officer Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1962. He served in HMCS Cornwallis for Training 1962. He served in HMCS Scotian for Training 1962. He served in HMCS Buckingham for Sea Training. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) 1965. (Short Service Appointment) Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN 1965. He served in HMCS Cornwallis as Staff Officer New Entry Training 1965. He served in RCAF Centralia for Primary Flying Training. RCAF Portage La Prairie for Advanced Flying Training. He was Awarded Wings 1966. He served in CJATC Rivers for Helicopter Conversion. He served in CFB Shearwater for conversion to naval helicopters. He then attended St. Mary's University in Halifax NS. (Granted Permanent Commission). He was appointed as a Lieutenant 1968. He served in CFB Halifax for Recruiting Duties. He served on Staff of Commander First Canadian Escort Squadron as Staff Officer Administration. He served on Staff of Commander First Canadian Destroyer Squadron as Staff Officer Logistics and Administration. He served in CFB Borden for Logistics Long Course 1970. He won the General Armour Trophy for Best Graduate. He served in HMCS Skeena as Supply Officer 1970. He served in CFB Borden as Staff Officer 1972. He was appointed as a MAJ (Log) 1974. He served in HMCS Huron as Supply Officer 1975. He served in CFB Toronto for Canadian Forces Command and Staff College 1977-78. He served in CFB Ottawa as base Comptroller. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Colonel (Log) 1979. He served in CFHQ as Head of International Logistics Section 1979. He served in NDHQ as Integrated Logistics Support Manager and Comptroller Canadian Patrol Frigate Project 1982. He was appointed as a Captain (N) 1983. He served on French Language Training. He served in CFB Borden as Commandant Canadian Forces School of Administration and Logistics 1984. He served in CFB Edmonton for Airborne Wings Qualification. He served in Maritime Command HQ as Comptroller 1986. He served in NDHQ as Director of Financial Services 1988. (He was retired.)
