Biography
He worked for the Canadian Government Travel Bureau of the Department of Trade and Commerce. Postings over the following 22 years were to San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Buffalo, and Ottawa.

He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman (Officer Candidate UNTD) RCN(R) 1947. He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (S) (UNTD) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 27/091948). He served in HMCS Malahat 1947. He served in HMCS Disc overy. He served in HMCS Carleton. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 15/08/1951). (Transferred to RCN) He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 15/08/1951). He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 16/05/1955). He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 16/05/1955). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN (With seniority dated 16/05/1965). (He was released 1965.)

Anecdotes
This came to my notice when updating the file for Dave Moilliet. His surname was misspelled both in White Twists and Cdn Navy Lists, that is; MOLLIET instead of MOILLIET. Errors of any kind are quite rare in Navy Lists, but the spelling was corrected in Navy Lists, after his Commissioning. What was unique is that upon correction, they also changed his O-number to put it back into the sequence it would have been in without the error. There are other cases of U- and/or O-numbers being out of sequence, because of misspellings (Mc vs Mac is a classic case), but this is the first time I've run across the ID-number being rolled back and changed."
