Biography
After his naval career he was a Professor of Chemistry at Royal Roads Military College. (He was retired in 1982.)

He was appointed as a Naval Airman 2/c RNVR (With seniority dated 12/01/1942). He served in RNAS Lee-on-Solent for Training 1942. He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent for #35 Pilot Training Course. He served in RAF Elmdon for #14 Elementary Flying Training School for Flying Training 1942. He served in Kingston for #31 Service Flying Training School 1942. (CFR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR, #9 (P) AFU Errol 1943. He served in RNAS Arbroath for 753 RN Squadron 1943, (Transferred to RCNVR). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 20/11/1943). He served in RNAS Inskip 1944. He served in H.M.S. Argus 1944. He served in RNAS Maydown 1944. He served in RNAS Machrihanish 1944. He served in RNAS Maydown 1944, RAF Coastal Command for 819 RN (Swordfish) Squadron 1944. He served in RNAS Maydown for 836 Squadron as DCLO 1945. He served in H.M.S. Daedalus for 798 RN Squadron 1945. He served in RNAS Inskip for 766 RN Squadron 1945. He served in H.M.S. Premier 1945. He served in RNAS Drem 1945. He served in RNAS Nutt's Corner for 803 (Seafire) Squadron 1945-6. He served in HMCS Magnificent 1945. (He was demobilized 1946.)
