Biography
He was living in Saskatoon SK at the time of his recruitment into the navy. He became a respected science teacher at Bell, JS Woodsworth and West Carleton High Schools. With a Masters in Education, he also contributed to advanced teacher's education at the University of Ottawa.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1958. He served in HMCS Unicorn for UNTD 1958-1961. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) 1961. He attended the Communications Specialty course. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) 1962. (He is said to have gone on Continuous Naval Duty (CND)) (He was released.)
