He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 21/03/1950). He served in HMCS Scotian for UNTD 1949-1951. He was appointed as an Ordnance Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/03/1951). He was appointed as a Constructor Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 13/09/1951). He served in NHQ. He was appointed as a Constructor Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/09/1953). (Transferred to RCN 1961). He was appointed as a Constructor Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1953). He served in NHQ as Constructor Overseer Quebec Area 1958. He was appointed as a Constructor Lieutenant-Commander RCN. (He was retired 16/07/1963).
