He was living in Quebec QC at the time of his recruitment into the navy. He spent 30 years servicing the mining industry. In 1951, after graduating from university, he returned to Northern Ontario, where he worked for several years for Morissette Diamond Drilling, gaining insight into the manufacturing needs of the mining industry. In 1955, he established Morissette Manufacturing and Sales Ltd. in Haileybury, and in 1970, he established Temiskaming Industrial Mining Equipment (TIME), where he was president and general manager until he retired in 1986. He also acquired the CS Castings Foundry in Orillia in 1972. He served as a Haileybury town Councillor from 1976-1980. |

He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman (Officer Candidate UNTD) (RCN(R) 1947. In 1948 he was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R). In 1947-1948 he served in HMCS Hunter for UNTD. (He was released.) |
