He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR. He served in #13 Elementary Flying Training School. He served in #31 Service Flying Training School. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 25/05/1943). He served in H.M.S. Battler for 784 (Firefly) Squadron 1945. He served in H.M.S. Ocean (Swordfish) 1945-46. (He was demobilized). He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 25/05/1943). He served in HMCS Cataraqui 1946. (He was qualified with a Watchkeeping Certificate)
