He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant RNAS (With seniority dated 08/12/1917) at Ottawa ON. He served in RNAS Greenwich. He served in RNAS Chingford 09/03/1918. He served in RNAS Vendome 19/03/1918. He served in Composite Park 20/10/1918. He served in #63 Wing, Mudros 21/10/1918. He served in RN Aegean Group 18/12/1918. He served in #62 Wing 12/1919. He served on seaplane patrol and bombing at the Turkish and Bulgarian front; to South Russia in 02/1919. He served at Petrovsk Russia attached to HMS Alleydor Yussenoff 05/1919.
