He graduated from Acadia University. In 1955 he graduated with an MD from Dalhousie University.

 

Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1948. He served in HMCS Scotian for UNTD (Acadia) 1948-1950. (He was released.)
