Biography
He was the Member of Parliament for Berwick in 1820.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Lieutenant RN (With seniority dated 14/10/1762). He was appointed as a Commander RN (With seniority dated 20/06/1765). He was appointed as a Captain RN (With seniority dated 26/05/1768). He was appointed as a Rear-Admiral of the White RN (With seniority dated 12/04/1794). He was appointed as the Commander-in-Chief in the River St. Lawrence, along the Coast of Nova Scotia, the islands of St. John and Cape Breton and in the Bay of Fundy and the Islands of Bermuda in 1794. He was appointed as a Rear-Admiral of the Red RN (With seniority dated 04/07/1794). He was appointed as a Vice-Admiral of the White RN (With seniority dated 01/06/1795.)
