Biography
He was the Master of the RMS Empress of Britain (I). He was appointed as a Younger Brother of Trinity House.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant RNCVR (With seniority dated 02/08/1914). He was appointed as a Lieutenant RNCVR (With seniority dated 02/08/1914). He served in HMCS Niobe (For special service at Quebec and Saint John) 1916. He served in H.M.S. President (For Special Service) 1917. He was killed in the Halifax Explosion (Captain Murray had made his way to his office on Pier 9 and was on the telephone with Captain Turnbull when he was killed in the explosion.).
