His mother was living in Lennoxville QC at the time of his recruitment.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Stoker (1st Class) RNCVR. He served in HMCS Galiano 1918. (He was lost in HMCS Galiano in a storm off Vancouver Island BC 31/10/1918 - his ditty bag was recovered with the skylight by the trawler G.F. Foster).
