Military Service
He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS (With seniority dated 01/04/1916). He was appointed as a Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS. He served in #3 (Naval) Wing. He was appointed as a Flight Lieutenant RNAS 1917. He served in #10 (Naval) Squadron in the "Black Flight" 1917, He was shot down 26/06/1917 and made a prisoner of war, repatriated after the end of the war. Mobilized for World War Two service. He was appointed as a Squadron Leader RCAF. He was appointed as a Wing Commander RCAF. He was appointed as a Group Captain RCAF. (He was retired 1945.)
