Military Service

(He had World War One service). (Mobilized for World War Two service), He was appointed as a Electrical Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 16/01/1941) (Later backdated to 1940). He served in NSHQ on the staff of the Directorate of Warfare and Training 1943. He was appointed as an A/Electrical Lieutenant-Commander (Temp.) RCNVR). He served in NHQ. (He was demobilized.) (Short Service Appointment). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (L) (SSA) RCN (Appointed 14/03/1951) (With seniority dated 01/01/1945)). He served in NHQ as Deputy Director of Material Identification and Cataloguing and as Deputy Assistant Supply Officer-in-Chief (Technical) 1951. (He was released.) (He is said to have been the second to last serving member of the RCN to have served in World War One.)
