Biography
After his naval service he flew for Ministry of Transport.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Pilot Officer RCAF. He served in the RCAF for Flying Training. (Transferred to RNVR) 1945, He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR. He served in RNAS Arbroath for 883 RN Squadron 1945. He served in RNAS Nutts Corner for 883 RN Squadron 1945. He served in H.M.S. Implacable for Deck Landing Training 1946, (Transferred to RCN by Short Service Appointment) 01/06/1947. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) (P) 01/06/1947. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/06/1948), RCN Barracks Halifax for RCN Air Section (Dartmouth) for 18th Carrier Air Group as pilot in 883 Squadron 1947, (Selected for permanent commission). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (P) (SSA) RCN 01/06/1956. He served in HMCS Bonaventure for Duty With VX-10 Squadron 1957. He served in HMCS Ottawa 1957. He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Bonaventure for VF-870 Squadron 1958. He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Bonaventure for VF-870 Squadron as Commanding Officer 1960. (He was released.)
