Biography
After his naval service he joined Air Canada 1965.
 
Military Service
(Short Service Appointment). He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1958). He served in HMCS Venture (Officer Training Establishment) for Training 1958. (While at HMCS Venture he won the HMCS Venture Trophy, the Pullen Trophy and the Officer of the Watch Telescope.) He served in HMCS Antigonish for Sea Training 1959. He served at the Victoria Flying Club for Flying Training 1959. He served in HMCS Ste Therese for Sea Training 1960. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/06/1960). He served in RCAF Centralia for Flying Training 1960. He served in RCAF Penhold for Flying Training 1960. He served in RCAF Saskatoon for Flying Training 1960. He served in RCAF Calgary for Flying Training 1961. Awarded Pilot Wings 1961. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN. He served in HMCS Naden for VU-33 Squadron 1961. He served in HMCS Shearwater for VU-32 Squadron for Advanced ASW Training Course 1962. He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Bonaventure for VS-880 Squadron 1962. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1965). (He was released from RCN 01/09/1965.) He was appointed as a Captain (PLT) (AR) (With seniority dated 01/04/1978). He served in CFB Shearwater for 420 Reserve Air Squadron 1978. (He resigned 01/02/1980.)
