Biography
He was the Canadian Intercollegiate Boxing Champion in the 145lb class, in 1955. After his naval service he worked with General Foods, W.R. Grace, Eatons, and Canada Post, he obtained an M.A. Economics to start a new career in marketing with Canada Post and Statistics Canada.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1953. In 1953 he served in HMCS York for UNTD. (He was released.) (Transferred to RCN). He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (SD) (Civil Engineering) RCN (With seniority dated 01/06/1957). He served in HMCS Bytown 1957. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (SD) (Civil Engineering) RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1958). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (SD) (Civil Engineering) RCN (With seniority dated 01/07/1958). (He was released 1960.)
