Biography
He came from Nelson BC. After the war he studied engineering at UBC. He joined the CPR as an Engine Wiper at Golden BC in 1950. He was subsequently Yardmaster, General Yardmaster, Terminal Superviser, Assistant Superintendent and lastly as Transportation Engineer for CPR at the HQ in Montreal PQ. He transferred to British Columbia Rail in 1970 as Regional Manager. He was promoted to General manager and Vice-President Operations & Maintenance and finally as overall Vice-President in 1974. He retired as President and Chief Executive Officer in 1989.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a AC/2 RCAF, Flying Training With RCAF. (CFR). He was appointed as a Pilot Officer RCAF. (Transferred to RNVR). He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR 1945. #13 Elementary Flying Training School, #14 Service Flying Training School. (He was released.)( Transferred to RCNVR.) He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR. (He was demobilized.)
