He attended the De Havilland Aeronautical Technical School for A/FRAES Course at Hatfield UK in 1938. After his naval service joined the Department of National Defence at NHQ 1957. (He retired in 1965.) He joined Boeing Vertol in Philadelphia PA USA in the Product Support Department. (He retired again in 1990.) |

He served in RNAS Lee-on-Solent for A/E Courses. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A/E) (Temp.) RNVR. He served in RNAS Eastleigh for A/E Duty 1941. He served in RNAS Woodvale as Air Engineering Officer 1943. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (A/E) (Temp.) RNVR. He served in H.M.S. Deersound as Air Engineer Officer 1945. He served in H.M.S. Perseus as Air Engineer Officer 1945. He served in RNAS Lossiemouth as Station Quality Control Officer. He served in the Admiralty on staff of Director of Aircraft Maintenance 1948. (Transferred to RCN). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (E) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1951). He served in NHQ on Staff of Assistant Chief of Naval Technical Services (Air) 1951. (Short Service Appointment 1954). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (E) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 12/07/1952). (He retired in 1957.) |
